Orthodontics & Invisalign
For many patients with crooked, misaligned teeth or malocclusion, orthodontics are the best choice to achieve a comfortable bite and attractive smile. Traditional metal braces, however, aren’t always an ideal option when it comes to moving teeth and dealing with food restrictions, comfort, appearance, and maintenance. At Christopher J. Fotinos Cosmetic & General Dentistry, we have helped plenty of patients who desire the benefits of an IDEAL SMILE, but don’t want to wear braces. For these patients, we recommend Invisalign as a wonderful alternative to metal braces.
How Does Invisalign Orthodontics Work?
Invisalign orthodontics work similarly to metal braces — by gradually aligning teeth, but with clear, plastic aligner trays, rather than metal brackets.
How Long Does Invisalign Take?
If you’re wondering when to start orthodontic treatment, knowing how long your alignment will take can be helpful with scheduling. The length of your treatment will depend on your specific alignment goals and the current condition of your teeth. The average clear aligner case takes 6 months with very little interruption in lifestyle. Simple cases take 3 to 4 months, where more difficult ones may take up to 12 months. With this technology and experienced doctors, we can achieve amazing changes to your smile in a short period of time.
What Are the Best Clear Orthodontics?
You’ve likely heard of Invisalign clear orthodontics, a popular brand name in the industry. At Dr Christopher J. Fotinos Cosmetic & General Dentistry, we recommend Invisalign aligners to our patients. With Invisalign, we’re able to use state-of-the-art technology along with hands on doctors experience and input to create a system of clear aligner trays fitted perfectly for each patient with predicable results. Invisalign aligners provide patients with optimal results at an affordable price.
Are Orthodontics Covered by Insurance?
If you’re wondering how much clear orthodontics will cost, it depends on the extent of the alignment being completed(the number of aligner trays required and months to complete treatment) and your insurance benefits. Most dental insurance policies will cover about 50% of the cost of orthodontics and the treatment costs range. We can work with you and your dental insurance company to help determine the total costs before committing to treatments with Invisalign and phase payments over time if needed.
